Funeral Friend
My friend's husband accused me for not showing up for funeral ceremony?What can I say to him to understand me?
My best friend passed away and it was such as tragedy for me so I could not come for funeral due to emotional breakdown. Her husband accused me of being wrong.Now he is mad and trying to make me feel guilty.
He is not basically angry with you. He is angry with life, and especially with death. He is grieving and will do so for a long time.
Try to understand: if you feel bad, consider he feels at least 50 times worse. Don't judge him and don't try to reason with him. He is in an emotional state which you have never known, and he will get through his grief in his own way, in however amount of time it takes him.
For now, don't contact him. It won't help either of you.
In a few months, try a note, a card, possibly a phone call, but try to understand if he is not yet ready to be pleasant.
