Suspense Stories
how to set an opening scene for a suspense story?
Im trying to write a suspense story, iv already written the main context etc, but i have been trying now for months and months to begin the first part, and most of all introducing the main, as its written in first person. im new to all this, and just trying to fill in some spare time. does anyone have any suggestions?
You say 'introducing the main' - the main what - character? As we have no idea what the story is about or where it takes place or even if the main character is male or female it would be rather difficult to suggest an appropriate opening. However if you want to introduce the main character have someone else ask his name at the beginning e.g.
"Are you Mr Smith? Mr Charles Smith." I looked across at the ageing bank teller wondering if she could read, after all she had my driving license in front of her.
"I am he." I told her.
